Buttons are only $5 each or 3 for $10! Buttons can be purchased at Sports Dugout (in the AG village) and SLOCODATA (on Grand Ave).

 

All buttons will be numbered and there will be a drawing during the Festival for prizes to be given to lucky button purchasers!

THE HISTORY OF THE BUTTONS!

The Harvest Festival button campaign was started to encourage community involvement and allow people a chance to win prizes.

Businesses and individuals donated prizes and had buttons for sale in their offices.

The hoosgow, depicted in this pictured, traveled throughout the town during the festival and “sheriff’s” looked for people who didn’t have buttons and put them in jail. Bail was the price of a button.

Barcellos Construction pulled the jail around town for many years.
